We have implemented this for our myPractice Live Customers (see http://www.mypractice.net.au/Blog/Auto_Reminder_Service).
The issue with creating this ability for everyone is that we cannot be sure that the computer set to send the Reminders will always be turned on. For our myPractice Live customers hosted on our own servers, we don’t have that issue.
So, we need to implement it in a way that prevents us from getting hundreds of angry emails/phone calls from users that don’t have their messages sent due to their computers being off at 5pm (as per the original request). At present, we haven’t figured out a way to please all the people all the time.

This will be possible in the future. Version 3 introduces Practitioner Scheduling which will allow us to implement this.

The toughest part of this is how the Client Notes are to be arranged. ie do we provide one set of notes per ‘Group’ for the appointment, or a seperate record for each Individual?
Any comments (from anyone) on how this would best be done would be welcome.
Also – invoicing – is the same amount to be charged per Client or are there exceptions?

I think the client should have a separate record as they may or may not attend certain group sessions. Or if you have multiple group sessions running at different times their schedule may not allow them to come to the same time. This would mean the ability to individually place clients in different sessions.
There could be exceptions to invoicing but we could create different products/product codes for each in the invoicing system.
