develop automatic sms reminders for practitioners

develop automatic sms reminders for practitioners that give them their work hours for the next day

This will be possible in the future. Version 3 introduces Practitioner Scheduling which will allow us to implement this.

Create sync capabilities with other calenders such as google calenders etc.

    Many options out there...

    Status: under review

I'd like to get a better idea of what our users expect from this sort of sync.

When I think of 'sync' I think of a 2-way interaction. i.e. giving users the ability to create appointments in external calendars and then upload them to myPractice, as well as vice-versa.

I doubt this will happen given that the Client needs to be created in myPractice before an Appointment can be scheduled, and Google Calendar et al have no idea of myPractice Client ID's and what associated records are required to define an appointment.

We could definitely *export* data to Google Calendar in the future and update it by pushing data via a service when changes occur. Would this be of interest? Please chime in with further thoughts!

Create ability for clients to self book appointments via internet

Could be very useful for smaller users of mypractice. There are quite a few programs out there, could be linked perhaps???

    Status: under review

We've looked at linking to a couple of such services in the past.

One went broke half way through the integration process and the other stopped returning calls/emails 5 months ago. Forgive me if I'm 'gun-shy', but I don't think there is a sustainable business model for those 'add-on' services.

We will be looking at rolling our own solution. But, it's not a high priority for us - the demand is greater in other areas i.e. Don't expect anything for at least 12 months.
    Cheers,

display the calendars only for the psychologists working on each day

It would be good if there was a way of only displaying the calendars for the psychologists that work on that day, rather than the current view where you see everyones calendar every day, regardless of whether they are working or not.

We have introduced Practitioner Schedules in V3. This allows for users to define their work hours each day.
Based on having this info we could look at auto-hiding those that have no 'Work Time' scheduled...
We might not get it in this release, but as a minor update soon.

only allow referrals which are marked as current in the client file to be selected when editing appt

When creating or editing an appointment in the Calendar, it would be good to only have the referral which is marked as "current" in the client's file to be available to choose, to reduce likelihood of invalid/expired referrals being accidentally chosen?

Add field for Invoice number and amount in letters facility

It would be really helpful to be able to insert a field into letters (for outstanding payment follow up letters etc) to insert invoice numbers and Invoice amounts associated with each appointment??

    Export to Outlook

Can you addd the phone number and notes from the appointment in MyPractice to the outlook export. This gives us more information and I use Calendar which allows me to search more information about the appointments.

    Status: under review

John, if they have multiple numbers, would you want all of them exported or just the one marked 'Primary'? I'm guessing 'all'.

To be able to issue a Credit Note

incase we have invoiced incorrectly or are credited a certain fee. we do not want to delete the invoice so we lose records of what we have done, but we also dont want to state it has been paid.

    Add group appointment

Group appoitnments would be useful to reduce the numbger of clients added to an appointment. At present we are adding clients indivvidually and it gets messy. Adding a group appointment and adding the client to the group appointment would be nice. Also being able to select who attended then write... more

The toughest part of this is how the Client Notes are to be arranged. ie do we provide one set of notes per 'Group' for the appointment, or a seperate record for each Individual?

Any comments (from anyone) on how this would best be done would be welcome.

Also - invoicing - is the same amount to be charged per Client or are there exceptions?

To be able to enter practice expenses/wages

this way MyPractice would be used as a complete picture of the business and there would be no need for other programs / spreadsheets to obtain all finanical information.

For therapists or psychologists who work with families, the ability to include a genogram, or family map, can be useful.

Include Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) for childrn, teens, parents (free, used widely)

The current questionnaires in My Practice are for adult clients. A general screening tool for children, adolescents and their parents to complete would be invaluable. The SDQ is a widely used screening and tracking tool. It assesses emotional problems, hyperactivity, conduct problems, peer proble... more

While it's correct that the SDQ can be used freely, unfortunately the copyright notice at the bottom of the page at http://www.sdqinfo.com/ states that no-one may reproduce the SDQ in electronic format. We will approach the copyright holders with a request for permission and see what they say.

enable us to itemise reports for each practitioner

I'd like to be able to print out how much revenue each of my employees is turning over

    Status: under review

We'll look at adding a specific report for this at some stage in the future, but for now it's pretty easy to get that info from the Transaction Summary. Just selected the date range, retrieve the transactions and drag the Practitioner Name to the 'Grouping' box at the top (where it says 'drag a column here to group by that column')

You will then have all transactions grouped by Practitioner, with subtotals visible when you expand the Practitioner name.

Somewhere to enter Rehab / lawyer details in the Client file and letter templates

we have lots of workcover/motor vehicle claim clients. we send letters etc to both GP (the referrer) and also to rehab providers / lawyers / case managers etc. we would like a section that we can add their details (not just as a 3rd party to invoice) but to attach to clients file and also to se... more

    Status: planned

Agreed - we are adding an 'Address Book' which will store these details and allow them to be linked to the Client record.

The plan is to include an Import/Export function so that they can be extracted from Outlook or other programs that use the vcf or csv formats.
